Most people who are familiar with my blog will know that I am a teacher and euphonium player. I have had a varied career which has included being head of music in an international school, music teacher for special needs children, euphonium lecturer at university level and even been a teacher with an armed forces band.

Teacher / Soloist

As a euphonium player, I have had opportunities to travel to exciting places around the world and currently, most of my playing time is spent as solo euphonium of the Grimethorpe Colliery Band.

Writing blogs, keeping a social media presence and managing my own website is like a bit of a hobby, it is really fun but takes a lot of time, almost like a job! Over the last year especially, I have been lucky enough to start building a bunch of affiliate programmes and while these will never support me financially, they do help motivate me to want to do more by providing readers with interesting content.

For this blog post, I want to list below all the affiliate programmes I am currently involved with plus a few other things and should you ever find yourself needing to make a purchase via one of these sites, I would be incredibly grateful if you would consider using my affiliate link. Even if you want to buy something that is not musically related, this is fine, just use the link and then browse for what you need.

Any money made by me, will be incredibly small, but every little bit can help to cover costs for hosting my website and also for other things like buying new music or products that I can review.

Ways You Can Help

This link takes you to a GCSE Music study guide but you can browse and buy anything from there and because you came from my link then it helps Amazon know who to reward as an affiliate.

This link takes you to what I consider to be the best sheet music website out there. I have been using it for years and we also buy music from this site for our ensembles at the Stafford Music Centre (where I am the centre manager).

This link takes you to the euphonium mouthpiece which I use but Thomann is probably Europe's largest musical instrument retailer. Again, if you are buying anything from a new instrument to a new case, you could do so via my link.

4 Solo CD - 'Hustle'

My solo CD, called 'Hustle' is still available to buy. You can visit this page to find out more and there is a form you can fill in to order a proper copy. You can also buy my CD from the merch desk at any Grimethorpe Colliery Band concert. It is also available to buy online via any of the usual streaming services.

This link takes you to an Advanced Music Theory course but the site also has other brilliant music courses. Brilliant for GCSE or A-Level music students.

This link takes you to the site of KraftGeek where they sell the hugely popular music stand which I recently reviewed on my blog.

While this website isn't music related, it has helped me save a lot of money when searching for car, home or pet insurance. I am amazed that more people do not know it exists but I wanted to add it because they have a nice refer a friend programme. I get £25 you get £20 which is brilliant.

I have a growing YouTube channel, please visit it, subscribe and share any videos you like.

Other ways to help:

I can be booked as a guest soloist with any ensembles or to give a recital or masterclass. I am also available as a brass teacher, online or in person and I have a few spaces for lessons. I can help with GCSE music coursework as a tutor. Or if you have a CD or any product you would like me to review, just get in touch!
