Private Lessons With Mark

What you will get?

A 30 minute private lesson with Mark.

A flexible schedule, for example, lessons once a month.

Flexible lesson times, outside of school.

Lot's for your child to work on in between lessons.

Contact via email or phone to get any help in between lessons.

The opportunity to join a county music ensemble (free of charge).

A free instrument hire (providing you join the county music ensemble).

Access to cheaper instrument purchase.

The opportunity to progress through graded music exams.

High quality teaching from an experienced and qualified professional.

A safe learning environment either at your home, my home or another suitable venue.

You can stay and watch the lesson.

Advice on purchasing the correct sheet music when required.

What Are The Costs?

Each 30 minute one-to-one lesson will cost £20

This will be paid in cash, bank transfer or Paypal on the day of the lesson.

No need to pay for a terms worth of lessons.

Should your child enter for a graded music exam you may need to purchase some original sheet music.

If your child does not join a local county music centre group, they may need to purchase their own instrument.

There is limited availability of lessons, first come first served.

F.A.Q

Can my child and their friend share a lesson? Yes. If two children can have a lesson together then the cost would be halved.

Where are the music centres located? There is one in Stafford where I am the manager but there are also centres in Burton, Cannock, Lichfield and Tamworth.

What instruments are available to learn? All brass instruments, main choices are euphonium, cornet, trombone.

What type of musical groups are available? Beginner brass players could join a Blast Off ensemble or Training Wind Bands. There will be opportunities for concerts.

Why should my child join the music group? Playing in a band or ensemble gives musicians even more skills than they can get from playing alone. It is great for social skills and confidence and can lead to many new opportunities in the future.

Can my child learn a different instrument to the one they started on in class? Yes. Reading the notes will be the same, the only difference might be if they are swapping to or from trombone.

Can my child take a break from having lessons? Yes. Anytime. No payment for advance lessons will be taken, your child can stop at any time.
