Lisa Clarke - Sax/Clarinet/Flute
Lisa Clarke received her CT ABRSM from the Royal School of Music in 2010, and is currently teaching clarinet and saxophone at English College and Jumeirah English Speaking School. A strong advocate in the importance of balancing secure technical development, with an appreciation of performing a variety of styles from classical to jazz, she believes that improvisation and theory of music aid the student’s progress with the emphasis on learning being explorative and experimental. She encourages her students to perform in woodwind ensembles to gain experience in being a team member, and is a member of the Dubai Wind Band and Dubai Ladies Saxophone Quartet. Her current project having recently trained in basic woodwind repair, is to run a workshop on how the instruments work in their structural complexity and the history behind their development.
